The QAPI Assistant will assist with data collection from all sources; tracking, analyzing and trending the data; and creating s. Additionally, this position will work collaboratively with Medical Providers to implementation of programs designed to ensure all diagnoses are coded according to CMS and risk adjustment coding guidelines and conditions are properly supported by appropriate documentation in the participant chart. Follows direction of the QAPI Coordinator to assist with process improvement activities and ing internally as well as regulatory agencies.

• Support and collect medical codes for diagnoses performed by providers and other qualified health care providers
• Identify and communicate documentation deficiencies to providers to improve documentation for accurate risk adjustment coding
• Collaborate with providers to implement measurable, actionably solutions that will result in improved accuracy for documentation
• Support providers and staff on coding regulations and changes as it relates to quality and risk adjustment to ensure compliance
• Performs analysis and provides feedback to providers on a regularly scheduled basis
• Facilitate communication with auditors and consultants on diagnosis and clinical documentation
• Track ER visits, hospital and nursing facility admissions, ensure documentation supports diagnosis codes
• Supports the development and implementation of quality improvement interventions
• Audits and assists in resolving deficiencies impacting plan compliance
• Monitors and investigates quality of care and collaborates with IDT to determine next steps for action
• Analyzes, updates, and modifies procedures and processes to continually improves QI operations
• Collects and summarizes performance data and identifies opportunities for improvement
• Assist with service delivery requests and grievances
• Assist IDT with scheduling team assessments and care plans
• Maintain participant flags in the EMR
• Update and monitor participant code status and advance directives in the EMR
• Develop and run s as needed from software solutions to support all department managers.
• Provide training for new users, assist to set up filters and permissions within the software system.

• LPN license preferred
• Preferred qualifications: Registered or certified coder, medical transcriptionist, or experience in medical terminology
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
