We currently have Associate Software Engineer opportunities based in Orlando, FL within the following areas and based on your qualifications you can be considered for one or more openings:
Business Technology Platforms – Responsible for the products and platforms that support TWDC’s corporate business functions (Corporate Real Estate, Global Security, Enterprise Social Responsibility, Investor Relations, Legal, Supply Chain, etc.) and enterprise service management platforms (Appian, Salesforce, & ServiceNow).
Financial Value Chain – This team will be delivering priority business solutions aligned with the enterprise architecture for the finance value chains. Responsibilities include supporting the development, design and delivery of highly scalable and flexible software solutions with focus on SAP S/4 HANA integrations. This role will partner with matrix projects and 3rd party resources. The span of the role will encompass technical requirements, technical design, testing, delivery, and strategic planning.
Software Engineering, Test – In contrast to traditional QA organizations, this role operates with the charter to design, develop and execute test automation.
Custom Applications, Test – Working as part of an agile delivery team working on products for a variety of businesses and brands across The Walt Disney Company, including Disney Parks, Studios, ESPN, National Geographic, and more. You will document, develop, and implement both manual and automated QA testing for software used in a variety of commercial, internal, and end-user applications.
Basic Qualifications
Understanding of the software development lifecycle
Fluency in SQL
Experience with Java and/or Python
For some roles, an understanding of broad financial systems architecture
Educational or internship experience in QA, testing, or software development using JavaScript (React or Angular)
Experience with Agile
Strong critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
Passion for the legacy, brands, and offerings of The Walt Disney Company
Experience with integration design using APIs and ETL
Familiarity with enterprise class software development tools and workflows, including virtualization (Docker), CI/CD, and version control
Familiarity with RESTful web services
Familiarity with digital accessibility and disability inclusion, including WCAG, WAI-ARIA, Title III of the ADA, and accessibility testing within the development process
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
