Guest Services Agent position & compensation information:
You will be an employee, not a contractor, and a part of a great team of compassionate, intelligent, hard working and fun loving individuals! The position can be Full Time or Part Time, Year Round or Seasonal. $20-25/hour Depending On Experience. Paid Time Off is provided for Full Time employees. Health & Retirement benefit options, travel benefits, opportunities for advancement. This is a Remote Position – work from your home / office. Flexible schedule, but with 1 weekend shift per week required, and some holiday shifts required in winter and / or summer. Experience in the vacation rental or hospitality industries is a plus. Proficiency with Streamline VRS or other Vacation Rental Software is a big plus.
Job Description:
The GSA will be responsible for working with vacation rental guests who have not yet arrived, who are “in house”, or who have departed. This role involves communicating and coordinating directly with vacation rental guests who have already booked a lodging reservation with us, property owners who rent through us, and external partners or outside contractors, answering questions or addressing concerns they might have, or taking notes for situations that supervisors need to handle. You will answer and place phone calls, receive and send text messages, instant messages, and emails. You will process reservations, perform other standardized processes, and screen guests. You will evaluate situations and determine appropriate next steps. It requires a customer service oriented individual with a strong foundation in both communication and technology. The successful Guest Services Agent will need to be organized, resourceful, and driven, with attention to detail, logical and thoughtful approach to issues which present themselves, to have the ability to adapt to a sometimes fast paced work environment, and possess willingness to learn new systems, processes, or procedures.
Qualifications:
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid math skills
– Solid knowledge of and comfort with computers: Windows, MS Office, Google Suite, Web Browsers.
– Ability to evaluate situations, problem solve and multitask
– Organized & Motivated to excel in all tasks
– Ability to work well under pressure in a versatile & fast paced environment
– Experience in service and/or hospitality industry a plus
– Designated and consistent personal work space (work from home position, equipment provided by MVL)
– Weekend availability and occasional holiday availability
– Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time
Tasks:
– Answering phones during business hours
– Communicating and coordinating with property owners, property care companies, property guests, and co-workers
– Processing payments, reviewing and resolving reservations on payment related s
– Communicating with guests, property owners, and property care companies regarding possible, perceived, or existing issues at a rental property. Addressing or resolving guest complaints, when possible, through communication with relevant parties, or filtering and escalating issues/calls/emails to supervisors when appropriate, with attention to details.
– Performing daily tasks, such as taking calls, listening to voicemails, working through task lists, processing reservations, responding to emails, etc.
– Communicating with supervisors / management to address needs of the clients, the company, the position or other staff.
– Helping to facilitate a positive, productive, respectful, ethical, and rewarding workplace.
