DxTx Pain and Spine LLC Hiring for Medical Charge Entry Specialist at Remote Full Time

The Medical Charge Poster provides good judgement in reviewing procedure codes and diagnosis codes for accuracy in all areas of services rendered by the practice. The Medical Poster identifies errors in coding and initiates correction before submitting to billing within the billing system. Tasks are performed to insure accurate collection of reimbursement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews procedure codes and diagnosis codes for accuracy
• Identifies errors in coding and initiates correction before submitting to billing within the billing system.
• Performs data entry to update and maintain customer accounts and post payments.
• Copies records and documents as needed.
• Answers questions asked by patients or patient’s family members.
• Answers telephone and route calls to appropriate person.
• Prepares outgoing mail, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
• Daily telephone interface with internal departments and insurance companies.
• Enter patient information into the computer.
• Demonstrates ability to tactfully handle difficult situations.
• Verifies patient insurance information, assists insurance companies with questions regarding patient accounts.
• Accepts daily charge entry to patient accounts for services rendered and maintains cash count of petty cash.
• Works with insurance companies to procure numbers, codes, and acceptance.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• At least 1 year of experience in a related billing or clerical position
• Ability to process a high volume of work.
• Knowledge of EOBs
• Data entry and typing skills

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
