This temporary position supports Integration & Testing for a program under the Next Gen Advanced RF department.

We are seeking a strategic technical leader passionate about effective application of principled Modes Software Engineering to deliver world-class sensor product technologies and solutions to our commercial and defense customers. Applicants must exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness; and will apply and develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts and is viewed within the company and the customer community as an expert in the Radar technologies. This position will be onsite in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities to anticipate:

• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level support troubleshooting radar modes during System level I&T and Flight Test phase on SAR/GMTI radar system.

• Mentor software engineers on modes software related to RMA (Range Migration Algorithm) and PF (Polar Format).

• Act independently, as well as working with early career engineers, to uncover and resolve issues associated with development and implementation of radar.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience

• Over 10 years of experience designing, implementing, and testing radar signal processing algorithms – specifically RMA and PF modes

• Over 10 years of experience programming in C, or object-oriented programming experience in C++, and MATLAB

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens ae eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Math

• Experience with hardware/software integration

• Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations

• Experience developing and presenting technical briefings

This is a temporary position of undetermined length.

The salary range for this role is $59.13 – $124.52; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training and key skills.
