Job Description

This position is hybrid. This position has up to 50% travel expectations.

This role is part of the Advanced Electrical Architecture/SDV 2.0 team for Global Manufacturing. This team is partnering with Product Engineering and other teams across the enterprise to define the manufacturing strategy for the upcoming Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) electrical architecture. This role will support the team by collaborating cross functionally within General Motors to bring Manufacturing Requirements and Best Practices into the early development stage of vehicle design.

Scope:

• 50% travel
• Bring together teams from across the vehicle design process to solve technical manufacturing problems before they get to the Assembly Plant
• Develop Best Practice/Manufacturing Requirements with regards to Vehicle Software Development
• Develop innovative ways of validating vehicle assembly through in process testing
• Assist in development of training for Automotive Manufacturing Electrical College
• Prepare presentations for various levels of leadership
• Provide guidance and support during execution of change management activities
• Developing tracking scorecards and metrics to illustrate status and ownership
• Track business resources and identify any shortages based on project plans
• Assist Workstream Leaders in managing multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business and organizational units

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

• 5+ years of vehicle software integration experience
• Strong interpersonal and team building skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly to translate complex technical issues to non-technical people and Senior Leadership
• Passionate and inquisitive with a focus on solving problems in innovative ways
