Meritor Hiring for Co-op, Engineering at Troy, MI Full Time
Full Job Description
Cooperative Education Student who is pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. The student works in support of the engineering department by applying knowledge from academic studies and will interface with project engineers, test labs, production manufacturing facilities, and several internal engineering groups. The Co-op Student works under close supervision to learn about aspects of engineering that they can apply after graduation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Job Responsibilities:
- Support Project and Product Engineers and Designers with layouts and drawing modifications of existing components.
- Make clearance layouts of static and/or dynamic components.
- Calculate dimensional stack-up of detail components.
- Provide engineering analysis for new or existing components and write engineering s as required.
- Provide hands-on support of component test and/or development in the laboratory.
- Make 2-D CAD drawings or 3-D math models in support or DCRs or PCCRs as required.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Demonstrated capability and knowledge of basic mathematics and sciences.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of vehicular drive train components and their application.
- Technical Knowledge / Skill of vehicle performance criteria
