As a Level 1 mechanical engineer, you will provide entry-level support to the engineering department. You will have the opportunity to design and develop new products. Testing of designs to requirements and prototyping. Working with production on LEAN initiatives and process improvement initiatives.
Working with other departments is critical to the success of this position. This position requires effective skills in communication, time management, and problem-solving.
Responsibilities include;
- Manage and update as needed – Bill Of Materials and component specifications.
- Manage test methods to validate new product designs.
- With direction from the production manager, initiate and drive LEAN projects.
- Design fixtures and tooling.
- Work with all departments on quality, providing root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Identify and propose cost-saving initiatives and ideas.
