The Marketing Specialist will oversee marketing, events, and assist in programming at Olly Olly market in New York City (NYC). The Olly Olly Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing in support of the Olly Olly Market along with the planning and marketing of experiential events. This person is responsible for executing and managing social media accounts, creating content, writing copy, executing ads, and curating newsletters, working directly with the Senior Marketing Manager. The Marketing Specialist will work with the 16”OC Private Events team to proactively strategize and execute marketing efforts for events and catering needs.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage social media accounts, curate content, create content, assist with professional shoots, write copy, manage guest experience and execute digital ads for the social media accounts assigned, adhering to brand guidelines and the brand voice, following the direction of the Marketing Management.
• Create high quality and impactful content, inclusive of photo assets and video assets, adhering to brand standards
• Assist in the launch of an Olly Olly TikTok account, in partnership with the Marketing team and leadership.
• Execute an annual marketing plan inclusive of an events calendar, key partnerships, press, and budget
• Build short- and long-term grassroots marketing plans in partnership with our private events and operations teams to drive traffic and sales
• Write, curate, and execute regular email newsletters for Olly Olly
• Strategize and execute initiatives to grow database and improve reach
• Strategize and act on opportunities to improve brand awareness and brand loyalty
• Manage communication of our PR initiatives; act as a liaison ensuring quick turnaround, fact-checking, and constant communication. Strategize with the team on pitches, events, and angles for pitching to press. Update team with new menu items, upcoming events, fresh photography and video assets, and quotes in a timely manner. Act as the 16OC representative when on set for media shoots and on property for media visits
• Coordinate photoshoots for marketing, press and sales materials, work with kitchen and bar managers to execute, archive, and organize photo files, adhering to the brand standards and guidelines set by the Marketing Specialist and Brand Manager
• Constantly review website(s) to ensure constant and complete updates in conjunction with IT, Marketing Specialist & Brand Manager. Write copy and strategize for effective SEO, adding in descriptions and tags
• Strategize, create, and activate digital ads and campaigns in support of the properties assigned
• Work with the private events leadership team to collaboratively develop collateral, assets, and toolkits to support marketing efforts for private events
• Apply 16’OC hospitality standards to all marketing efforts
• Assist in the creation and execution of in-house events to drive traffic and revenue to the properties
• Execute walk-throughs to potential collaborators.
• Create and manage event timelines.
• Work with vendors to ensure communication, accountability, and professional execution of experiential events.

About You:

• 2+ years of field marketing experience, ideally in a hospitality setting
• Excellent time management and organizational skills. We cannot stress this enough.
• Efficiently completes projects with the ability to juggle many at once and prioritize effectively
• Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and analytics, PR and communications, social media platforms, web/blogging
• Superior people skills: enthusiastic and self-motivated team player, with the ability to lead projects proactively
• Experience working with Private Events and/or catering in a hospitality setting preferred
• 1+ year of photography experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
