Responsibilities:

• Travel independently throughout the assigned territory, visiting existing and potential customers to generate orders and build relationships.
• Utilize product samples and catalogs to showcase the features and benefits of our foodservice equipment and supplies.
• Provide competitive quotes, negotiate pricing, and establish credit terms to secure orders.
• Stay updated on the latest product offerings, pricing details, and company information to deliver exceptional service and knowledge to customers.
• Take ownership of collections (accounts receivable) and ensure timely follow-up and resolution of customer issues.
• Participate actively in pre-pack order check-ins, demonstrating physical stamina by lifting weights up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
• Maintain regular communication with internal departments, manager, customers, factory representatives, and other external stakeholders.
• Analyze market data and stay informed about competitors’ sales and pricing activities.
• Act as a consultant to customers, offering expert advice and guidance to fulfill their specific requirements.
• Develop sales objectives and pricing strategies tailored to each customer account.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer and company order cycles, maintaining standards and goals to achieve and sustain territory objectives.
• Conduct presentations and share selling ideas with individuals influencing product purchases at existing and prospective accounts.
• Ensure scheduled sales contacts are maintained, achieving maximum vertical penetration.
• Communicate account activity, facilitating seamless credit, collection, and adjustment processes.
• Prepare accurate sales estimates and forecasts as requested and within deadlines.
• Build and maintain an active prospect list, incorporating new account prospect calls into weekly call plans.
• Attend and actively participate in District/Regional sales meetings to stay updated on targets and contribute to strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager, providing regular updates on sales progress and discussing strategies for territory growth.
• Evaluate the operating philosophy of customer accounts, identifying opportunities for product expansion, credit adjustments, and increased market penetration.
• Analyze and optimize the selling price structure and strategy for each customer in coordination with the District Sales Manager.
• Engage in consistent prospecting activities to drive new business growth.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent, combined with at least 5 years of experience in a similar sales environment.
• Proficiency in product knowledge, service offerings, and marketing techniques.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with a problem-solving mindset.
• Exceptional multitasking and prioritization skills, coupled with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, time management, and customer service aptitude.
• Reliable transportation to facilitate account visits, sales training, and meetings.
• Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs. as required and actively participate in pre-pack order check-ins for customers.
