Tennis Australia Hiring for Logistics Operations Coordinator at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Full Time

To help us deliver on our plans for 2024, we are looking for a Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our Event Operations team on a fixed-term basis from October 2023 – February 2024.

As the Logistics Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support to the Logistics Project Leads and Logistics team by assisting with the delivery of all venue logistical requirements for the Australian Open (AO) and its associated facilities and off-site storage. In this role, you will work on the ground to ensure all logistics services are delivered smoothly and reflect the high standards we strive to attain for our customer and stakeholder base.

About The Role

ing to the Logistics Assistant Manager, In this role you will:

• Collaborate with suppliers, the AO Logistics team and other functional areas to develop an efficient operation of logistics and event operations
• Support with site inventory distribution to optimise the resources of the installation during bump in, event and bump out modes which may include planning truck loads
• Assist with the coordination of logistics for the site including, but not limited to, December Showdown, Bump in, AO Qualifying events, Charity event, AO Main Draw, Junior Tournament and Bump out
• Deliver internal and external stakeholder requirements as needed
• Assist the Logistic Project Leads and Logistics Team to ensure the alignment with Logistic guidelines and TA values of excellence, humility, loyalty and teamwork

About You

What you will bring to the role:

• Logistics, supply chain, and/or event experience or similar
• Strong computer literacy with experience in the use of Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project
• Experience in databasing and inventory/job management is desirable
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills and the ability to engage quickly with people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds
• Willingness to be flexible regarding working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
• Valid High Risk Work licence (forklift) is desirable
• Valid Construction Induction Card (or State or Territory equivalent) and Full Drivers Licence is required
• You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
