DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will serve as a Mechanical Engineer Consultant responsible for the technical development of mechanical design solutions and facility programs supporting the PA National Guard and Office of Veterans’ Affairs. You will be responsible for developing guidelines and procedures for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design, facility operations and maintenance plans, building commissioning, building management systems, and energy management to reduce operation and maintenance (O&M) costs, conserve energy, and promote a desirable working environment. You will also serve on the DMVA energy team.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:15 pm, Monday – Friday, with 45-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Monday and Friday and every other Thursday are currently teleworking days. In order to telework you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to to the headquarters office in Annville.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Mechanical Engineer 2; or
- Four years of professional mechanical engineering experience which required work on any structural mechanical system.
Necessary Special Requirements:
- Possession of a Professional Engineer License issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial Driver’s License.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
