Inova pioneered lung and lung-heart transplants in 1991 in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metro areas and remains the only provider of lung transplantation in the region.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Transplant Coordinator role to support the Inova Advanced Lung Disease Program working with Pulmonary Hypertension patients, located on the campus of nationally top-ranked Inova Fairfax Hospital. Recognized for excellence and innovation, Inova transplant surgeons and lung specialists offer new hope to individuals dealing with serious life-threatening lung disease that once was considered untreatable. The Inova Transplant Coordinator:

  • Assessment of patient needs and coordinator of multidisciplinary care.
  • Educates patient, family, and care providers.
  • Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice. Organizes and submits data to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with others. Demonstrates respect and understanding of other clinical disciplines and uses and integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Ensures improvements in practice by assuming responsibility for self-development and lifelong learning.

Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift with rotating weekend on-call requirement

Requirements:

  • Three years of clinical RN experience, Transplant Coordination experience preferred.
  • BSN
  • BLS
  • Valid Virginia RN license
  • Computer competency
