Description: The Logistic Assistant-Payables is responsible for supporting all Freight/Warehouse payment functions.
Main Responsibilities
· Vendor master maintenance and payment processing to assure vendor payment satisfaction.
· Audit freight invoices for validity and accuracy.
· Resolve problem invoices by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
· Audit duplicate payment .
· Retrieve payment information for internal audits.
· Manage outside rail audit ing.
· Enter or update truck freight rates and fuel surcharge rates into SAP in a timely manner.
· Analyze freight costing variances to identify inaccurate shipping transactions and/or master data discrepancies.
· Obtain payment approvals consistent with department policy.
· Contribute to positive vendor relationships.
· Collaborate with teams to develop preventive actions and improve invoicing processes.
· Ensure the integrity of transportation invoice verification processes, consistent with company policy.
Qualifications
· BS/BA in Finance or Accounting, preferred; or Relevant experience in a related field.
· Must be able to work both independently and with teams to resolve discrepancies and develop preventive actions.
· Must have effective written and oral communication skills pursuant to effective customer service.
· Must have the ability to exercise independent judgment while adhering to company policies.
· Must have critical thinking ability and strong analytical skills.
· Must be well-organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
· Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· SAP experience; preferred.
· Experience working in A/P with demonstrated leadership roles.
Understanding of the Logistics/Purchasing function.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $54,500.00 per year
