THE ROLE

The Social Media AdvertisingExpert is responsible for taking charge of and owning the paid social channels for a variety of brands with a growing online presence. Effective growth performance marketing strategy is at the roleʼs core and is the number one priority. The role also provides the opportunity to help actively grow the agencyʼs social media offering, including involvement in pitches, new client content audits and recommendations, and thought-leadership projects.

The SME will lead the team and work collaboratively to advise in formulating social media campaigns, ad spend budgeting, optimising campaigns and ing across key clients. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Meta Ad Platform – especially in generating high Return on Ad Spend-, audience/trend analysis, best practice and data. The SME will also work closely with the other channels, junior staff, offshore resources and interns to manage campaign plans, paid social, ad creative and calendars and ing.

Thereʼs a strong client-facing component as well as a requirement to collaborate with internal teams. Therefore, the SME is someone whoʼs a brilliant communicator, works well in a team, and creates a positive environment around them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Holistically:

• To manage and maintain the Social Media channel, ensuring all systems and processes within this channel are as efficient as possible.
• Lead, manage and coordinate the Social team, ensuring all members of this channel receive the appropriate leadership and guidance to complete their work. Management of the team also involves ensuring that all work completed by each member is met to the appropriate and expected standard of each client.
• Ensuring all Social Media advertising practices are up-to-date and that we remain at the forefront of new trends and practices within this space.
• Management with key stakeholders for this channel, most prominently Facebook at a business and account-specific level
• Communication with clients, ensuring complete transparency with this channel and its results for the client.
• Work collaboratively with the entire team on strategies to support new business opportunities and upsells.

Paid Social:

• Ensure all Facebook Account access is set up correctly and that all pixel’s / tracking tools for Paid Social Advertising are set up correctly.
• Ensure all Paid Social campaigns are implemented and optimised correctly and that campaign results are achieving the appropriate ROI for each client.
• Ensure clients’ monthly ad spend budgets are split in a strategic way for maximal ROAS.
• Ensure all client briefs are respected and understood.
• Ensure ing is done as meticulously as possible and provide recommendations for future strategies.
• Ensure content is in line with brand personalities and is engaging to target audiences.
• Provide content recommendations and insight for future strategies.

Key Requirements:

• A genuine passion for social media and content; content development, consumption understanding, engagement, paid, and community.
• Education and background in marketing, media or advertising.
• Strong knowledge of key platforms, namely Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat and TikTok, as well as advertising functions on each.
• Ability to lead ing and analytics across all platforms, constantly ensuring KPI’s are met and clients feel empowered and informed.
• Strong writing skills and creative understanding. Experience in content creation/publishing/ journalism is strongly regarded.
