Position: Reliability Test Engineer
Location: Lake Forest, CA
Job description:
Run environmental and mechanical based reliability testing, troubleshooting and repair on complex optomechanical instrument.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform set-up, calibration, testing, data-collection of components, PCBs, and sub-system modules for a new ophthalmic diagnostic device
- Troubleshoot (using both HW and SW cues) and repair device under guidance of subject matter experts
- Organize and summarize findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
- Work on assignments requiring independent judgment/action
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics
- Diversified knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical systems (3 year hands on experience working with electromechanical systems)
- Hands on experience with lab instruments like oscilloscope, multimeter, interpreting waveforms/signals, etc
- Data recording and organization (Excel)
- Good organizational skills
- Basic optics knowledge is a plus, for example, IR light, lens handling/cleaning, etc.
- Good verbal and written English
