• This is a full-time ongoing position within the Health & Wellbeing team of DRNSW
• Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour
• Salary ranging from $101,947 to $112,849 + Super, Leave Loading & Flex Leave

About Us

The Department of Regional NSW (DRNSW) was formed in 2020 as a central agency for regional issues. The Department has responsibility for building resilient regional economies and communities, strengthening primary industries, managing the use of regional land, overseeing the state’s mineral and mining resources and ensuring government investment in regional NSW is fair and delivers positive outcomes for local communities and businesses.

The Role

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Return to Work Coordinator to ensure the safe and timely return of our valued employees to the workplace after injury or illness. As the Return to Work Coordinator, you will:

• Play a crucial role in managing the recovery and return-to-work process
• Be responsible for implementing the Departments recovery at work program and supporting return to work strategies
• Build relationships with stakeholders, and monitoring the performance of rehabilitation providers
• Prepare accurate s and responses on injury management and return to work
• Collaborate with managers to provide Work Health and Safety guidance and recommendations to promote early intervention and injury prevention

About You

To excel in this role, you will:

• Have proven experience within a similar role with strong knowledge surrounding injury management legislation
• A tertiary qualification within Health or another related discipline and/or extensive industry experience
• A strong people focus, being able to collaborate with a range of stakeholders
• A current Driver’s License and willingness to travel as required
