• James Fletcher Hospital is An 88 bed acute mental health facility. Services include: General Psychiatry and Mental Health Services for Older People, and a 24 hour Psychiatric Emergency Service including Psychiatric Intensive Care.

• The Project Officer will support other project staff to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day completion of project activities and deliverables related to state and national mental health and suicide prevention projects.
• Our work focuses on five priority areas: elevating prevention as a priority through strategy and policy; using knowledge translation to build capability across sectors; influencing media, organisations and communities to apply best-practice communication; transforming the supports available to families, friends and caregivers; and promoting a mental health approach across business and community.

Requirements

Our successful candidate will possess the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, social science or related disciplines.
• Understanding of evidence-based practice and evaluation with capacity to undertake project-related tasks including literature reviews, consultation, data analysis and writing.
• Written communication skills with experience in writing in a variety of formats, including formal s and materials for project resources.

Information For Applicants

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
