Dyno Nobel Hiring for Commercial Analyst at Murarrie, Queensland, Australia Full Time

The role

You will be responsible for providing commercial support to both the Dyno Nobel Asia Pac Leadership Team and the Moranbah management team. This will involve conducting financial analysis and modelling to analyse the performance of the Value Stream. Additionally, you will support the Asia Pacific business in achieving better returns and provide strategic input for profit improvement initiatives.

Core accountabilities include:

• Support the Asia Pacific business to deliver improved financial returns, process improvement and standardization.
• Provide financial support and analysis to the Asia Pacific Strategy Team from a complete Value Chain perspective of DNAP. That is, works across both Upstream and Downstream business units.
• Review, analyse and make recommendations regarding strategic and financial viability of DNAP projects
• Monitor approved customer contracts and investments compared to plans. Assessment of price realization and customer profitability ensuring delivery to targets
• Responsible for DNAP Five Year Forecast Model, including Impairment Modelling alignment with Corporate Finance.
• Model Moranbah EBIT for the current financial year and 5 Year Modelling as required.
• Influence Commercial Managers so as maximize consistency in contract rise and fall formula’s across DNAP.

About you:

The suitable candidate will have formal qualifications in Finance, Math or Engineering. You will possess excellent modelling skills and be proficient in developing and utilising financial models. Strong analytical skills, including scenario analysis, are essential. Additionally, a keen awareness of risk identification within commercial operations is desired. You will have strong commercial acumen, displaying a deep understanding of business and financial concepts.
