Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Transporter functions under the supervision of a first-line supervisor and performs delegated functions.

• You will transport patients from the patient room to the appropriate area by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed;
• You will provide specialty beds as needed throughout the facility;
• You will transport laboratory specimens for pre-admit testing;
• You will transport crash carts to the pharmacy for restocking; assists the pharmacy in delivering medication during tube system downtime.
• You will provide courier/mailroom support as needed; and exchange empty O2 tanks throughout the facility with full tanks daily.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Previous orderly or transporter experience preferred. Will consider training candidate.
