EE Board/Box Test Engineer—both support as well as lead positions

· Work with a team to support testing and qualification of engineering and flight board, box, and electromechanical systems:

o Understand and execute existing designs and procedures in an ESD controlled lab environment

o Expand and develop and debug existing designs and procedures

o Circuit anomaly resolution/troubleshooting

o Work with a team in an environment that uses commercial as well as customized test equipment

o Candidates need to be versed both in circuit analysis, testing, and troubleshooting as well as the ability to write/modify software scripts/tools to stimulate and analyze data. eg ASIST/STOL scripts for stimulus and Python for data analysis

o Familiarity with configuration management—OSAM uses TDMS, ASIST, GIT

o Leads would also be required to direct others and should have that experience of leading a team

Experience: >10yrs flight electronics (mechanism electronics preferred) experience preferred, however, more junior maybe acceptable

Familiarity:

Electrical testing in a flight lab environment,

Knowledge and training with regard to ESD prevention and protocols.

GSFC processes, design rules, configuration management, WOAs, ASIST ground system, etc… preferred.

Skills:

Analog circuit design, analog-to-digital conversion, digital-to-analog conversion , modeling, simulation, analysis, and troubleshooting. Brushless DC motor drive, sensors, Worst-case Analysis, EEE Part stress analysis, Motor Control system and electronics background, familiarity with electronics test equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, meters. Experience working with paper and code test procedures and scripting and data analysis.

Tools: ASIST/STOL, Python, GIT, Spice/P Spice/ T Spice, etc.. circuit modeler, Altium, OrCad schematic capture, MS Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
