GAM: Logistics Clerk

This role is with KBR’s GAM, Global Asset Management group. At GAM, we provide our customers with a range of services including Regulatory and Customer Compliance of Property Systems, Import/Export Trade Compliance, Material Management, Stockrooms/Tool Cribs/Receiving, Engineering Tool Design and Rework/Repairs, Records Management, Distribution Services, Capital Asset Management, Development & Production-Equipment Maintenance, and Facilities Project Management.

As a Logistics Clerk you will:

• Load, unload, and move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
• Read work order or follow verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Open containers, using steel cutters, crowbar, claw-hammer, or other hand tools.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other device.
• Secure lifting attachments to materials and convey load to destination, using hand-operated crane or hoist, or signal crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
• Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together, using banding machine and clincher.
• Clamp sections of portable conveyors together or place conveyor sections on blocks or boxes to facilitate movement of materials or products.
• Remove samples of materials, label with identifying information, and take samples to laboratory for analysis.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or using power hoist, and clean work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds, to assist machine operators.
• Make simple adjustments or repairs, such as realigning belts or replacing rollers, using hand tools.
• Assemble crates to contain products, such as machines or vehicles, using hand tools and precut lumber.
• Shovel loose materials, such as sand, gravel, metals, plastics, or chemicals, into machine hoppers or into vehicles and containers, such as wheelbarrows, scrap truck, or barrels.
• May occasionally operate industrial trucks or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 
  Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• High School with 1 years of experience.
