Digital Capital Markets Limited Hiring for Cloud Engineer / Junior DevOps at Remote Full Time

This growing tech firm is looking to expand its East Coast operation and hire a Junior DevOps Engineer who can also assist on pre- and post-sales client support of cloud-based solutions. It represents an opportunity for someone to build a strong technical understanding and progress into a fully-fledged DevOps role in the future. It would suit an individual with approximately 4 years of commercial experience in a client facing technical support or cloud engineering role who is keen on a career in DevOps.

Responsibilities will include:

· Deployment, setup, configuration and support of solutions in customer environments.

· Contributing to DevOps function responsibilities

o Platform engineering

o IAC

o Monitoring, alerting and telemetry.

o Networking

o Security

o Build, release and deploy automation.

o Multi-cloud hosting strategy

· Relationship management with customers and partners

· Pre-sales activities including solution architecture and sales engineering capabilities working with account executives on new opportunities with prospects.

o Presales technical support

o POCs

The successful individual will have the following skills:

· Excellent client facing skills and be a strong relationship manager.

· A strong academic background in computer science.

· Experience in either junior DevOps, Cloud Engineering, pre- or post-sales support of cloud solutions.

· Strong analytical skills and be able to learn new technology and techniques quickly and effectively.

· Be technically curious and eager to work on complex technical solutions.

· Have ambition to move into a DevOps role.

Primarily you will work remotely, however you must be based in eastern time zone. Clients are in the Maryland, DC and Virginia, so candidates based in these locations would be of particular interest.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $90,000.00 per year
