Confidential Hiring for Stockroom Attendant at San Diego, CA Full Time

Small family-owned business seeking a full-time stockroom attendant to support daily operations in the marine/boating industry. Successful candidates will possess:

Basic computer skills.

Verbal and written skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors, and other employees.

Interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all customers, such as being personable and attentive.

Job Desription:

• Unlock & lock gates, carpenter shop and lunchroom.
• Put up and take down flag.
• Check/pump out water tanks and underground sump.
• Hand out, record, and enter materials purchased into QuickBooks.
• Place orders to replenish stockroom inventory and janitorial supply.
• Stock inventory in stockroom and paint storage weekly
• Assist with communication to yard employees such as job specific details, change orders, or allotted time per job.
• Assist newly arrived customers with docking, exiting yard, or accessing restrooms.
• Assist office to obtain signed hard copy work orders. Per request
• Create Purchase Orders for subcontractor or special-order materials per job.
• Scan vendor invoices into SharePoint.
• Dispose of trash around boat yard when necessary or properly handle hazardous material found in yard.
• Assist marina tenants with disposal of hazmat as needed.
• Monitor and manage pickups of hazmat to ensure we remain within compliance.
• Scan hazmat manifest into SharePoint
• Relay customer concerns to yard office/management.
• Forklift items off truck as directed.
• Support travel lift crew as needed or directed.
• Assist with marina related emergency situations.
• Answer backed-up phone calls.
• Track outside contractor lay days for current jobs.
• Inform office of customers abusing rules or policies.
• Dedicated runner for equipment fuel

Background check, drug screening, and physical will be required upon hiring.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
