OVERVIEW

Sanyo Chemical America Incorporated (SCA) is the U.S. Sales and Marketing organization of one of Japan’s leading specialty chemical producers – Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd. Founded in 1989, SCA has more than 30 years of experience introducing innovative Japanese chemical products to the American industry. SCA is searching for a Technical Sales Representative for sales of our products to the United States market and for the development of new business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– The products which the Sales Representative will primarily handle are Plastic Additives, so experience in plastic compound industries is preferable. The Sales Representative may also have to handle the other specialty chemicals of Sanyo Chemical, such as polyurethane related products, lubricant additives, super absorbent polymers, surfactants, and so on.

– Responsible for carrying out all sales and marketing activities, and maintaining, developing, and growing the overall sales in a manner that maximizes profitability.

– Responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, prospects, and distributors.

– Responsible to communicate with Sanyo Chemical Industries (Japan)’s sales team and

R&D team to understand/build the sales and marketing strategy and implement it accordingly.

– Responsible to develop new business in the relevant market of our product lines.

QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s Degree required

– Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the Chemical and Plastics industries

– Experience in Plastic compounds industries are preferable

– Ability to read and understand product data sheets, material safety data sheets, scientific and technical journals, financial s, and legal documents.

– Relationship management

– Frequent domestic travel is required; and some overseas travel, from time to time.

– Technical consulting capabilities regarding products and processes

– Technical service knowhow

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Japanese is not required but preferable

• Basically, this position works remotely, but from time to time, the employee may be required to come to the office.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
