Description of Duties:

The Java Software Developer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Be responsible and accountable for supporting design reviews, developing designs, designing / conducting / documenting unit and system level testing, and implementing custom, mission-unique software packages supporting the MDSEA platform and our space-based, hosted tenant missions.
• Support the development of web-based applications to serve both in-house users and external customers.
• Conduct software unit, integration, developmental, and operational testing.
• Support documentation updates and deliveries.
• Work productively and independently in a fast-paced development and operations environment.
• Support occasional shift work and possible weekend work to support higher-level MDA testing events.

This position will be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO

This position is expected to pay $118,000 – $128,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 8 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 6 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 2 years of general experience

• Must have 4 years of related experience in one or more of the following: software developer, application integration specialist, or in fields related to enterprise application integration (EAI) experience and/or specific business domain experience
• Must have experience in Linux environments
• Must have experience with Agile development and knowledge of DevOps
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
• Must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Have experience with hybrid (virtual and non-virtual) computing network requirements, design, implementation, and deployment
• Have experience with MDA or DoD customers
• Have experience with communication networks (DISN, SIPRNet)
• Have experience working with XML, JMS, application servers, PKI, and MySQL database servers
• Have experience with JavaFX, Persistence and Hibernate

• Have experience with Windows operating systems
