As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Part-Time Locksmith Dispatcher to serve as a liaison between our customers and technicians in the field. This position requires answering calls in a fast-paced environment, converting calls to jobs, and communicating with customers for various reasons.
Compensation and Benefits:
The Part-Time Locksmith Dispatcher position pays $13-16/hour plus commission per job closing, with biweekly pay and 1099 at the end of the year. The ideal candidate will be willing to work day shifts, night shifts, holidays, and weekends, as needed. They must have reliable internet access, a working computer, and a quiet workspace. The position requires flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing job environment. The candidate must possess a strong work ethic, be a team player, work well under pressure, manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude, and be willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Part-Time Locksmith Dispatcher position include answering phones in a professional manner, managing time efficiently in a fast-paced environment, scheduling appointments within a reasonable timeframe, communicating with other dispatchers and technicians during shift and shift change, accurately relaying information to technicians via dispatch software, managing jobs from start to finish, utilizing software-integrated messaging and a multi-line phone system, answering emails in a timely manner and forwarding them to management as necessary, creating jobs from work orders sent via email, taking payment over the phone occasionally, calling customers and technicians depending on the circumstances to notify them of schedule changes, problem-solving on the spot while on the phone with a customer, occasionally ordering supplies, and attending work meetings at various times during the month.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate must have at least 1 year of customer service, call center, and dispatch and scheduling experience. Intermediate computer skills and exceptional multitasking skills are required. Excellent phone and customer service skills are necessary, and dispatch experience is preferred but not required. Knowledge of Google-related software (maps, sheets, docs, Gmail, etc.) is also essential.
Additional Information:
Our office operates 7 days a week with 12-hour days, so dispatch candidates need to have flexible availability. Weekend hours will be expected of all dispatchers. Our office hours are Monday – Friday 8 am to 8 pm (sometimes later depending on schedule)
