Wage: Potential salary $65,000 – $80,000 per year, not including bonus.

Purpose:

Leads efforts to optimize GreenMark’s fleet of class 8 trucks in support of the Sales and Service department. Central contact for scheduling and contracting all transportation requests, such as: Factory pickup, store transfers, customer pickup and delivery, outsourcing needs. Will be responsible for managing fleet expenses and driver retention.

Responsibilities:

• Daily dispatching of loads to drivers
• Creating/building of efficient loads to achieve department goals
• Communicates accurate pickup/delivery dates to internal and external stakeholders
• Identifies opportunities to utilize outsourced transportation when needed
• Oversees trucks and coordinates inspections and repairs as required
• Manages truck drivers within the organization, reviewing and approving bi-weekly payroll
• Ensures timely and accurate freight billing and invoice approval
• Analyzes data and s for continuous improvement opportunities where necessary
• Plans and submits all permitting required to support trucking

Preferred Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

• Previous dispatch or brokerage experience
• Strong communication skills, which include: email, phone and in-person
• Understanding of delivery logistics and regulatory delivery practices
• Ability to read and understand state and federal laws related to transportation and trucking
• Strong team player and leader, with the ability to work across multiple departments
• Understanding of Electronic Logbook (ELD)
• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
• Basic machinery and vehicle capability knowledge
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
