We are seeking qualified and motivated teachers for 2023 – 2024 to help us transform our students into world class leaders.

Job Description

– The ability to plan, create and deliver and/or follow lesson plans

– Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and test

– Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment

– Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development

– Provide a structured learning atmosphere

– Maintaining positive environment in the classroom

– Monitor student attendance and behavior

– Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings

– The ability to develop positive working relationships with students, administrators and staff

Requirements

– B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution

– Must have a Michigan Teaching Certification in corresponding subject area

– Thorough knowledge of Michigan Common Core Curriculum

– Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software

– Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

– Experience working in a culturally diverse setting

– Ability to work independently and within a team environment

– Flexible open minded, self-driven team member

Preferred Experience

-Some background in African Centered Education

-Some experience in methodology in African Principles

Pay: $51,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
