FK Instrument Co, LLC Hiring for Logistics Manager at Clearwater, FL Full Time

The Logistics Manager will oversee the purchasing, processing, expediting, and shipping department. They will work closely with suppliers and clients to build strong and long-lasting relationships. This position will also handle the entire delivery process of products by scheduling both inbound and outbound shipments and constantly monitoring them to make sure each product arrives on time. To ensure the logistical processes are running smoothly, they meet with department heads to determine which logistics improvements need to be made to increase productivity levels across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervising purchasing, processing, expediting, and shipping department.
• Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met.
• Responding to any issues or complaints.
• Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
• Monitors and establishes value added metrics to monitor process performance and efficiencies, including but not limited to OTD.
• Negotiations with carriers regarding shipment costs.
• Developing procedures, driving system integration and utilization for scheduling and tracking procurement and distribution operations.
• Partner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers.
• Manages customer order confirmations in customer portal.
• Coordinate training and continual improvement efforts.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work onsite full-time, this is not a remote position
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field
• 2 years experience working in a similar role
• Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management
• Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
