We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering professional to join our team located in Davidson, NC. This team is working on the front-end applications that homeowners use to manage their smart HVAC and connected home ecosystems. We have hundreds of thousands of Internet of Things devices connected to our cloud and tens of thousands of concurrent mobile application users. You will be part of a very capable team that fosters leadership and learning in everyone.

Major Responsibilities:
Architecture/Design/Development/Testing
Update existing application architecture to scalability, reliability and extensibility. Create new approaches to problems by applying expertise gained by scaling solutions in previous employment.
Design software solutions that are reusable and elegant while focusing on working software.
Hands-on day to day development of new software and maintaining of existing software products. Willingness to be creative when determining solutions to customer issues, exercise good judgment on fix vs. rebuild decisions and recommendations.
Strong advocate for automated testing and a background in DevOps as a mindset and implementation. Understand full stack architecture issues from a software and hardware/environment perspective and be comfortable troubleshooting issues at the operating system and network configuration layers.
Collaborate Effectively with Team Members
Good listener.
Able to evangelize new approaches based on established design patterns and leading edge paradigms.
Able to lead through influence and determine best ways to communicate with other staff members in order to be most effective.
Skillful in tactful communication.
Requirements:
2+ years of mobile software development experience.
Able and willing to quickly learn new technologies.
Our tech stack includes Ruby, Go, Java, Javascript, React Native. You must be comfortable with these or willing to learn.
Javascript and associated frameworks (jQuery, React, etc.) is needed as a starter.
Have worked in a DevOps-mindset environment.
Demonstrated background in architecting solutions and evangelizing design standards.
Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
Understanding of enterprise software development patterns.
Key Competencies:
Passionately customer focused with a drive for continuous improvement.
Strong team player.
Technical skills in open stack cloud computing architecture and demonstrated success in multiple contemporary code stacks.
Experience with Javascript and exposure and experience with other development tools and technologies.
Knowledge of IoT systems a plus.

What’s in it for you:
Base Compensation Range is $ 76,000 to 156,000. Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
