FRIED RICE Marketing Associate – Marketing Operations, E-Commerce, Social Media Content Execution, Event Marketing + Sales / Styling

New York City-based streetwear fashion brand FRIED RICE seeks a part-time marketing associate with event marketing, digital marketing, content creation, social media and sales / styling skills.

The brand is regularly covered in top fashion and cultural media such as HYPEBEAST, VOGUE and COMPLEX and is worn by top performers, athletes and public figures around the world. Recently, FRIED RICE was awarded “Best Emerging Brand” honor by Complex Magazine at the year’s biggest streetwear culture and fashion event, ComplexCon. Roles & Key Responsibilities

Marketing Associate (Primary Role)

Proactively work with management team on all things marketing and business operations, with priority attention to:

• Support senior management team on planning and execution overall marketing strategy
• Social media strategy and execution (initial priority on multichannel digital content, reorienting TikTok and leveling-up brand + designer social channels in phase one)
• Proactive “ownership” of marketing operations support including events, email promo, online shop retail ops and content, digital marketing, content storage and management, influencer and affiliate coordination, marketing research and analysis
• Support for international projects and our rapidly growing efforts to increase the brand footprint globally
• Designer support primarily focused on aligning design and marketing synergies
• Liaison to partners and vendors
• Business operations support

Shop Associate (Supporting Role)

• Approximately one full day per week doing retail sales and styling in Soho shop with key emphasis on learning customers, segments, products, community, etc. Will also be asked to occasionally cover breaks and shifts of regular shop team.
• Work with team to expand and improve the positive energy, community, proactive approach and sales method for the shop for continuous improvement of the team’s retail effectiveness
• Shop operations support

Skills & Experience

Must Haves:

• Demonstrable experience in marketing operations
• Skills and experience in social media content creation and execution
• Characteristics: practical, proactive, reliable in terms of requirements and schedules, positive energy, sense of styling and selling, eager to learn and comfortable taking direction

Nice to Haves (but Not Required):

• Experience in fashion / streetwear industry
• Immersion / participation somehow in creative arts, culture, photography, streetwear etc.
• Unique personal sense of style

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.75 per hour
