Description:

Work with migrant director to recruit new migrant families at their workplace, homes and in the community, determine program eligibility, enroll new students in summer school, collect and maintain student and program data. Lead coordinator for pre-school program.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED, fluency in Spanish and English, strong communication skills, basic computer skills, understanding of Hispanic culture, understanding of experiences and living conditions of migrant families, willingness to work flexible hours, two years experience as a migrant recruiter, valid Oregon driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation. Identification and recruitment one-day training in June is required before recruitment begins. Proof of COVID vaccine or exception request upon hire.

Qualifications Desired:

Computer skills, language arts, and math skills.

Workdays:

June 20 – August 31, 2023. Maximum of 8 hours per day. (8:00am – 3:00pm with ½ hour break) for 16 days; Monday – Thursday July 10, 2023 through August 3, 2023, + 2 days additional time for training. (Actual working hours may vary, final schedule TBD at a later date). EMPLOYMENT CONTINGENT ON ENROLLMENT AND GRANT FUNDING.

Hours/Days:

Hours vary and to be determined with Migrant Program Director; not to exceed 240 hours.

Wage:

Range 10 of the classified wage schedule, paid on timesheet.
