The Media Captain Hiring for Digital Marketing Strategist at Columbus, OH Full Time

The Media Captain is looking for a digital marketing specialist to join our award winning agency in Columbus. This position is hybrid. You would be required to come into the office 8-days per month. The remaining days can be spent working remotely.The compensation for this position is $84,000.

What we are seeking: Someone with at least 3-years of experience that has a strong understanding of SEO, Google Ads and Facebook Ads. This candidate must have experience either in-house or working for a prior agency. You must have a proven track record and the ability to showcase key wins at your past job.

Account Management: This candidate will be responsible for overseeing client accounts (approximately 20-25). Many of our clients sign-up for a blended marketing strategy which includes SEO, Paid Ads, Social Media and Email. It’s important to be able to converse at a high-level on all of these topics with your clients. You will have monthly meetings, review their strategy and ensure we’re hitting on key deliverables.

Technical Prowess: It’s important that you have a strong understanding of the technical elements of each ads manager (Facebook and Google) so you can properly structure accounts with precise tracking while having superb communication skills to speak internally with our team and to clients.

Expectations During Interview: We’re hoping it’ll be a breeze for you during the interview to walk through some of our client accounts as we share our screen with you in Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads. We will also pick a random client and ask you for SEO recommendations. We expect you to provide feedback and high-level strategy plus recommendations.

What We’re Not Looking For: We realize our process isn’t perfect and we’re always looking to make improvements. If you’re looking for a cookie cutter, structured day that’s not everchanging, this won’t be the position for you. Since we have a small team, each person wears a lot of hats and plays an important role. Our owners are very involved in the company, which means you’ll get recognized for your accomplishments and be heard with new ideas to improve processes. Conversely, you won’t be able to fly under the radar.

Responsibilities & Skills Needed

• Knowledgeable on SEO, Paid Ads (Google and Facebook) and Email Marketing
• Exceptional communication and problem solving skills
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to provide high level critical thinking
• Create and launch paid advertising strategies from scratch
• Expertise on Google and Bing Ads (PPC, Shopping, Display & Tracking)
• Expertise on Facebook Business Manager
• Expertise on SEO Strategy Development & Execution
• Keyword research, copywriting, imagery selection
• Produce s for management (e.g. dashboards)
• Handle day-to-day communication with a subset of clients
• Handle day-to-day communication internally with our team
• Strong knowledge on Google Analytics and Search Console
• BS/BA in marketing or relevant field
