As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Duty in Tempe, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat05:30 AM – 06:30 PMSun05:30 AM – 06:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and/or supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrance areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that need attention.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and employee entry requirements, and assist with badge, sign-in, and reception-related processes in accordance with site procedures.
• Support day-to-day operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, while providing courteous assistance and clear directions to people on site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
