Description

As the Reimbursement Specialist for our DRGV & CC service lines, your primary role will be to track and validate the solution’s financial benefit to clients. This in inclusive (when applicable to client) of performing rebill and follow-up for select payers and clients. The Reimbursement Specialist will to the Reimbursement Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform monthly invoicing tasks for multiple clients
• Ability to read and accurately interpret UB-04s, Remittance Advices, and Explanation of Benefits in order to apply information within Reimbursement workflow
• Track payments and status of outstanding accounts
• Generate client facing invoices (account level and summary)
• Complete monthly historical invoicing projects
• If applicable, initiate corrected claim rebills, add accounts into appropriate Client HIS work queues, and/or route accounts to our internal payer facing follow up team.
• Identify and remove accounts when no longer worth pursuit per internal protocols
• Identify and communicate Client rebill and follow-up trends that may impact revenue
• Provide supporting documentation to assist with resolving client invoicing inquiries
• Contribute to the development of invoicing methodologies and application tool enhancements
• Collaborate on the development of summary guides on invoicing process for each Client
• Contribute towards achievement of DRG-V and CC service line goals
• Actively maintain Client HIS/EMR System access
• Adhere to all compliance procedures and protocols

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of experience performing Hospital billing and claim/remit interpretation involving Commercial, Government, and Managed Care insurance
• 3+ years of additional experience in Physician Medical Billing preferred
  
• 3+ years of experience working in a dynamic team environment, including effectively and collaboratively with internal and external parties in both verbal and written contexts
• 3+ proven experience in working with a variety of Hospital HIS/EMR Systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, STAR)
• HS diploma or GED required

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS

• Effective time management and organization skills that facilitate meeting/exceeding production and accuracy expectations, as well as meeting all deadlines
• Creative problem-solving and critical thinking
• Ability to approach work assignments flexibly in order to meet ever changing business demands in a timely fashion
• Intermediate technical proficiency in a variety of settings:
  • Ability to set up and remote workstation (laptop, monitors, dock, headset, etc.)
  • Maintain system updates/computer health as prescribed by IT
  • Navigate and effectively leverage a variety of cloud-based information sources (SharePoint, OneNote, Ticket systems, etc.)
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new functionality in client systems and internal applications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including but not limited to: sorting and filtering within Excel and utilizing Outlook to address all incoming email and invite

Shift: Normal business hours according to your time zone, Monday-Friday, 8.5 hour shift with a 30 minute lunch.
