What the day will look like

  • Develops trusted relationships with leaders and colleagues across aligned client groups.
  • Advises on appropriate solutions for people matters based on the consideration of both local/regional requirements, as well as the broader ABS strategy and goals.
  • Ensures comprehensive understanding of new and updated People programs and policies to provide proper guidance and drive adoption of changes.
  • Equips people managers with the necessary training and resources to effectively handle performance management issues in alignment with our strong culture.
  • Responsible for managing annual cycle activities (performance, talent, compensation, and engagement) across designated client groups.
  • Champions inclusion and diversity efforts and initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborates with People Org Centers of Excellence (COE) including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards, etc. on key initiatives to support business needs.
  • Collaborates with global ABS People Partners to promote cross-functional partnership, and for guidance on matters impacting populations outside of North America.
  • Supports workforce planning and organizational design activities.
  • Contributes to global, functional and/or regional ad-hoc projects as needed.


How this opportunity is different

This role is part of the North America People Partner team and is aligned to Aon Business Services (ABS). They will to the ABS NA People Leader and support NA based leaders across ABS. While it has a North American focus, it will help support our team globally.
The main focus of the role is developing a solid knowledge of the regional and functional People programs and plans in connection with the broader ABS Operating Model.
The ABS NA People Partner is responsible for building trusted relationships with the business to effectively guide and support on people and talent matters. They will also be accountable for managing annual cycle activities in alignment with overall ABS strategy.


Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 5+ years professional HR experience.
  • Experience in a business partner, specialist, and/or generalist role preferred.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills across levels (from colleagues to senior leaders).
  • Knowledge of US employment laws and currently relevant People trends.
  • Ability to meaningfully interpret data and translate into key trends/themes.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Workday experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position is $90K to $110K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
