MiniMakers Inc. is Looking for General Warehouse & Studio Support Associate Full Time

Supporting the youth of today to be the makers of tomorrow, MiniMakers is an educational centre focused on developing valuable life skills involving a variety of age-appropriate and safe creative activities. Turning their imaginations into reality, our makers use child-safe woodworking equipment, various production tools (including software design tools) and a wide range of decorative approaches to produce both practical and artistic items. The skills they develop support growth in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) while also building an “I can do it” mentality with real world outcomes. Our makers build creativity, confidence and skill, all the while having a lot of fun!

We are seeking the right person to join our young and growing team in a fast paced mulit-purpose warehouse and studio support role. The role will be multi facetted and the candidate will wear many hats. Among the many responsibilities the role requires organizing, maintaining and over seeing all activities in the warehouse as well as material preparation needs.

The Job:

– Manage the warehouse, including; inventory management, picking and packing orders, sending product to fulfillment centres in Vancouver and else ware, overseeing supply chain and shipping and receiving.

– Materials preparation involving the use of woodworking machines to prepare materials for use in the Minimakers classes.

– Maintaining a highly organized system for inventory management.

– Tracking and reporting of fulfillment, sales and logistics.

– General workshop duties (organization, planning, inventory, cleaning, etc.)

• Willingness to wear many hats (never saying its not my job)
• Willingness to obtain specialized licenses (company sponsored), ie class 4 driving license, forklift, etc
• Ability to work independently and with little oversight or direction when required
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new applications quickly
• Experience with Spreadsheets and Databases; Google Workspaces
• Experience with or willingness to learn product sales online or fullfillment, e.g. Amazon and other marketplaces
• Comfort or willingness to learn how to use professional woodworking tools to prepare a variety of materials
• Capable of working in a fast paced, changing environment with at times competing priorities and time sensitive tasks
• Strong sense of ownership over ones responsibilities and scope of work
