King Operating Corporation is a private owned oil and gas company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, that is focused on acquiring, developing, and divesting oil and gas assets in the Continental United States. King Operating’s mission is to help investors achieve monthly passive income, a multiple on invested capital, and significant tax savings. The company currently operates oil and gas wells in Texas, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado.
The Drilling Engineer will plan, develop, and supervise the operations necessary for drilling oil and gas wells. You’ll be assessing and maintaining existing wells, ensuring safety measures are implemented, elements of design and calculating costs of machinery and construction.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Knowledge of oil and gas
· 5 – 10 years Drilling Experience
· Lead spud meetings with onsite supervisors and contractors to create a common view of success
· Daily engineering support of ongoing operations through communication with onsite supervisor and superintendent. Identify positive and negative variances to the drilling plan and engage internal and external technical support to resolve operational challenges
· Document best practices
· Generate cost estimates and track variances for assigned operations Monitor KPIs and provide meaningful input in quarterly, contractor business reviews
· Establish and ensure meaningful working relationships with contractors and regulatory personnel Assist in regulatory permitting process
· Promote safety and environmental expectations with employees and contractors
Education & Required Experience
5-10 years Drilling Focus
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
Previous experience working in Oklahoma and Texas properties preferred
Strong decision-making, problem solving, technical knowledge, communication, leadership, project management and organization skills required
Knowledge of oil and gas law and/or state specific ownership related law, including statutory guidelines, unclaimed property regulations, probate/laws of descent and distribution, contracts, etc.
