Overview

The Logistics Analyst must be a self-starter, analytical mindset, delivering material internally and externally throughout the network meeting business commitments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Safety first mindset always; Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Develop working relationships with internal and external customers to ensure customer commitments are achieved
• Key contact for transportation and shipping requirements, tracking, tracing, and ing on trucks, railcars, barges, Dispatch delivered loads to customers. Communicate with all relevant parties to ensure the proper allocation and appropriate number of trucks, railcars and barges needed to meet the internal and external demand. Prepare RFQ quotation documents, collect/analyze costs.
• Reviews and develops logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize efficiency while minimizing costs
• Maintains database of logistics information, accurately and timely processes invoices
• Analyze metrics/KPI s provide a detailed write up of key variances month over month along with identified root cause failures; provide corrective actions and improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and standardize operations., explore costs trade-offs, competitive exchanges, scenarios, identify and resolve complex problems supporting business objectives.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor s degree required
• Entry level, 2yrs transportation experience preferred

• Self-Starter with entrepreneurial mindset, strong organizational and time-management skills with an internal drive to continuously hit or exceed targets. Communications: integrity and trust, information must be tactful, respectful, clear, and precise. The expectation is that information flows upward and downward throughout the organization. Analytical: Strong organization, planning, time management, attention to detail, ability to perform mathematical calculations of moderate complexity. Problem Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to define operation problems, identify needs, resolve problems, analyze, and interpret results. Business Acumen: understands how businesses operate, develop awareness on competition. Customer Service focused; pleasant/positive attitude working with CCC team, customers, and the public.

• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP systems, Supply and Demand Planning Software

• Travel Requirements ~15%
