Position Overview:
This position exists for the purpose of providing direct resident care with a strong emphasis on
geriatrics. Central to this care is health restoration and maintenance of our resident population.
Employees will be able to utilize and interpret the resident plan of care, which includes short
and long-term goals. Employees will possess strong communication skills and a strong
teamwork approach which serves to enhance resident care, safety and dignity.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Must be a graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program and must remain
current on the Minnesota State Registry as a Certified Nursing Assistant. At least 16 years of
age. Basic computer skills. Word. Patient information database (Cerner, EMR, American Data).
Service Requests, Lake Winona Manor Updates.
Age Specific Competencies:
This position is a direct care provider and requires the ability to give adequate care to
patients/residents in the following age groups:
Adult (18-65)
Geriatric (65 and over)
Internal Applicant Policy:

Employees requesting to change positions should have successfully completed at least six (6) months in their current position. Employees currently in the formal disciplinary process may be required to meet with the Director of Human Resources to determine eligibility to request transfer. The employee’s past performance, experience, training and qualifications will be considered in transfer/hiring decisions. Consideration for transfer or promotion is not a guarantee of transfer or promotion. Employees may be given a chance to interview for a position when they meet the minimum position qualifications.
