Safety Coordinator / Purchasing Assistant
Brighton, MI

Salary: $58,000-$62,000 starting salary
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6AM – 3PM (no weekends!)
Location: Brighton, MI
Management of Company Safety Program:
- Responsible for all company safety related processes and initiatives
- Familiar with Right to know’ (SDS) program and MIOSHA, OSHA
- Perform regular safety inspections
- Train safety procedures for all shifts
- Track machine and facility safety inspections (cranes, fire suppression, etc.)
- Handle inspections from government agencies
- Administer first-aid as needed
Purchasing Assistance:
- Willing to train, no experience required
- Inventory ordering
- Provide back-up assistance for Purchasing Manager
- Assist with supplier visits as needed
Environmental:
- Monitor and manage hazardous waste collection and disposal
- Manage company recycling and waste reduction programs
- Involvement in energy conservation projects
