SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Sales Consultant is to sell, merchandise, and service accounts in the assigned route, while maintaining the quality of our products and strong customer relations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Broad training in a recognized trade. Equivalent to complete, accredited apprenticeship or equivalent to high school education plus a two-year technical education. One to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY
Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
MENTAL / VISUAL / AUDITORY DEMAND
Frequent mental and visual attention; usually repetitive work or diversified operations requiring constant alertness and activity. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to make decisions on space and SKU management, display size & location, and merchandising opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT
Moderate – Sets up and makes adjustments that could result in damages to specific parts of equipment or software.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR MATERIAL OR PRODUCT
Errors would be detected in succeeding operations; but considerable loss of material or rework time would be involved to correct the errors.
RESPONSBILITY FOR SAFETY OF OTHERS
Only reasonable care to own work is necessary to prevent injury to others, and accidents, should they occur, would be minor in nature.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
Responsible for own work or occasionally for 1 person.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Requires the ability to read, write, complete simple forms and understand simple written instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Requires the ability to perform arithmetic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division including decimals and fractions. Understanding of basic Trade Math principles such as margin, mark-up, revenue, profit, and unit cost. Could require simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules or diagrams.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
