Position Summary:

The Water Treatment Maintenance Technician will have a key role in our plant and the upkeep of our equipment. Responsibilities will include efficiently resolving equipment failures, responding to maintenance service requests, and keeping all documentation on our machines up to date. Effective communication to colleagues coupled with the ability to repair the equipment will be pivotal. The ideal candidate will be able to consistently provide great response times and quality work to our colleagues and submit documentation to our database.

What you will do (Essential Functions):

• Responsible for Preventative Maintenance tasks and schedules.
• Responsible for providing technical support to managers.
• Manage water treatment plant to achieve continuous mass flow balance of water.
• Plan and coordinate removal of excess wastewater to appropriate destinations.
• Ensure no process water leaves containment area.
• Ensure filtration systems for run off ponds are working properly; repair as needed.
• Hydraulic system repairs.
• Pump rebuilds.
• Water filtration.

Skills and Abilities:

We are looking for someone who has the desire to learn and drive to succeed. To thrive in this role, the Water Treatment Maintenance Technician will need to possess the following minimum educational background, skills, and experience:

• Advanced understanding of mechanical operation, hydraulic systems, machinery repair, maintenance procedures and technical terminology.
• Ability to read and understand mass flow diagrams as well as electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of PVC plumbing techniques.
• Ability to communicate ideas in a clear, effective, professional manner.
• Previous experience being a Maintenance Technician or a field service technician.
• Previous experience rebuilding pumps.
• Previous experience in setting and replacing overload protectors.
• Previous experience with Level Sensors and flow meters.
• RS-232/485 Communications experience (Equipment integration).
• Controls/Rockwell Training a plus but not required.
• Extra points for being able to control water with your mind and talking to fish.
