Health and Wellbeing Practitioner (Children & Young People Services)
£29,508 – £40,437 Dependant On Experience
The significance of access to efficient health and wellbeing services is vital component cannot be underestimated, and we required a highly skilled, clinically qualified staff member to support our Children’s homes to promote positive outcomes and compliment current initiatives.
As a Health and Wellbeing Practitioner for Children and Young People services, you will be delivering a range of initiatives, to young people as well as staff, and supporting a group of 3 children’s homes. You will work with a diverse range of individuals with a variety of needs, ranging in age from 9-25 years of age.
The role holder will be expected to work closely with staff and young people, taking a holistic approach to supporting people in attaining positive health and wellbeing using a variety of approaches. You will also need to support the staff, both to frontline workers for the young people as well as managers.
The post is hybrid and will involve at a minimum of monthly visits to the homes in Northamptonshire. You will also be required to attend the homes to respond to other events, such as OFSTED inspections or to support following a significant crisis. Whilst not in attendance at the homes, the role can be carried out remotely, providing support to staff, children and young people via telephone or virtual approaches.
The ideal candidate will need to be inclusive and embrace our culture and values, putting those we serve at the heart of everything we do. You will consistently deliver high quality services to support our communities and beneficiaries.
Essential:
You will have:
Minimum of a recognised level 6 Clinical practitioner qualification with registered professional membership (i.e Mental Health nurse, Psychologist, Counsellor/therapist, Social Worker etc.)
Recognised qualification for working with Children and Young people, level 4 minimum, or a willingness to complete one within 18 months
Compliance with relevant professional practice standards and registration
Relevant health and wellbeing clinical experience with Children and Young People
