We have an exciting opportunity to start your career in the legal services field. Maliganik Tukisiniarvik is a nonprofit society incorporated under the laws of Nunavut. Our main objective is to provide Legal Aid services to the people of the Qikiqtaaluk region of Nunavut. We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to act as our Receptionist.

The ideal candidate should have:

– Good Communication skills, verbal in both Inuktitut and English as well as written English.

– Receiving incoming clients at the reception desk and directing them to the appropriate staff member or lawyer.

– Answering telephones in courteous and professional manner and take messages.

– Log incoming mail and distribute.

– Good organization skills.

– Must be self-directed and at times work with minimal supervision.

– Strict ability to maintain confidentiality.

– It would be an asset if the candidate was familiar with the law and the Nunavut Justice system.

We require an acceptable criminal record check.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
