Dispatch Supervisor Full Time

Position Summary

Responsible for working with and leading the day-to-day activities of the Dispatch Team to effectively implement transportation services to customers. While also ensuring that all activities are accurately recorded in the company’s transportation management system.

Location: Bolton, Ontario

Schedule: Morning shift 7 – 3:30 (on-call and overtime, to support business needs)

What You Will Do

• Supervise and support a team of dispatchers in a high‑volume, live dispatch environment
• Oversee driver scheduling across shifts (approx. 40–45 trucks/day)
• Coordinate with staffing agencies for driver coverage and scheduling changes
• Act as the main escalation point for customer, driver, and dispatch issues
• Ensure accurate and timely dispatch activity in the A1/A1T system
• Monitor performance, service levels, and operational KPIs
• Support training, coaching, and development of dispatch staff
• Provide on‑call support as required

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma
• 4 years of transportation dispatch experience (trucking/logistics) within Canada and cross boarder
• Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume dispatch operation
• Strong understanding of driver scheduling and live dispatch workflows
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable leading people with varied backgrounds (dispatchers, drivers, agencies)
• Calm under pressure; able to multitask and pivot priorities quickly
• Working knowledge of dispatch systems and routing tools
• Supervisory experience an asset, but not required (ready to step up)
