Supply Chain Manager
Is this you? Our Supply Chain Manager is a master at forecasting and managing inventory as well as leading a team to complete objectives and goals while developing the team at the same time. You have experience managing across multiple locations and remotely to maximize inventory at each location to best serve our customers while managing to the bottom line as well. It’s not enough to make sure orders are being placed efficiently. Instead, we want you to use your experience and skills to look ahead and be agile to the changing needs of our industry. Simply put, we need you to be a supply chain subject matter expert on this high performing team.
What will your typical day be?
· Build and share dynamic reports to help in forecasting, planning and inventory management and be prepared to share data across your team as well as across other teams.
· Conduct daily (and weekly) inventory and demand forecast performance analysis.
· Monitor and drive key end to end performance metrics to insure goal achievement.
· Analyze total inventory levels to identify aged/excess and opportunities for better utilization, re-positioning.
· Monitor inventory levels at all locations and optimize inventory settings.
· Monitor orders to be placed, and stockout risks (by product / brand).
· Lead strategic analysis to support inventory reduction/optimization initiatives (availability rate, stock turn, DIO) & make proactive inventory recommendations.
What skills do you need to demonstrate?
· Self-motivation, goal oriented, and you thrive off constant analysis and improvement.
· Ability to switch between the bigger picture of the company as a whole and evaluating small and detailed pieces of data.
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance & Accounting, or in a relevant field.
· 6+ years sourcing and/or procurement experience ideally with application in a variety of supply markets.
· 6+ years’ experience in a supply chain or retail organization with 3-5 years of direct distribution operational experience or indirect support of distribution operations.
· Minimum of 1+ years of Inventory Control professional experience.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team.
· An advanced understanding of inbound freight management is a plus.
· Unparalleled interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to develop and maintain relationships with others in our business.
