Location: Mississauga

Length: 4 to 6 months

We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Co-op Student to join our busy and growing manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Co-op Student will perform various administrative functions for the Supply Chain department and work on related projects as assigned.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Support commodity buyers on new project supplier sourcing activities
• Support Supply Chain inventory valuation report data collection and analysis
• Lead on Romet Supply Chain sharepoint re-organizing under the manager’s instructions
• Support Supply Chain annual inventory counting with tasks assigned by the manager
• Follow-up with the operation team to regularly update inventory consumption in NAV system
• All other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) skills, and ability to work in a team environment
• High attention to details and persistence in resolving issues and discrepancies
• Fundamental understanding in manufacturing industry with electronics and mechanical commodity
• Strong time management and organization skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Basic understanding of ISO quality standards and quality management system

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• College or University 2nd year in MBA program or 3rd or 4th year student in undergrad program
• Any related electromechanical product design/manufacturing experience considered an asset
• Hands-on experience in ERP system (e.g. NAV) preferred
