General Summary: Supervise and oversee the development and coordination of the Clinical Department. Responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing the clinical needs of the program. Responsible for training staff, conducting groups, and carrying a small case load. Serve as primary contact for clients and referral sources regarding clinical matters. Work directly with Executive Director and VP of Clinical Operations.

Must hold Texas LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or LP (PhD/PsyD)

Facility is located at 18407 Hopfe Road, Hockley, TX 77447

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall leadership of clinical department in the development and implementation of short and long range plans and policies.
• Responsible for the development, implementation, and accomplishment of the clinical department’s annual goals.
• Prepare and present for clinical trainings, residential trainings and at conferences.
• Internally and externally promote the Mission Statement and Vision of the facility.
• Responsible for department s.
• Assure that the clinical department is complying with and maintaining appropriate standards for overseeing external agencies such as the State of Texas and Joint Commission.
• Communicate and meet with clients and referrals as needed
• Responsible for employee relations within the clinical department.
• Aware of legal issues and the actions that need to be taken to ensure longevity of the company.
• Apply customer service skills to both internal and external customers.
• Provide direct support and supervision of clinical staff.
• Ensure quality of individual, group and family counseling/therapy.
• Oversee and facilitate weekly treatment team meetings.
• Organize and execute weekly clinical team meetings.
• Complete annual trainings.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Patient Placement Criteria

• Knowledge about how to apply ASAMs to utilization review criteria along with other data, as required by the various health plans, to to facilitate patient authorizations and concurrent reviews, peer to peer reviews and appeals. Knowledge of how to apply this material to all forms of charting and documentation.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 disorders and other pertinent issues facing the clients and their families.
• Knowledge of the pertinent clinical terminology, and multiple therapeutic interventions and techniques.
• Knowledge of the laws regarding documentation, ing, and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of the client programming
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• A minimum of a Master degree (Doctoral degree preferred) in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Registered and licensed counselor able to supervise counseling interns.
• Five years supervisory experience in a substance abuse facility.
• Skill in communicating concepts and expectations, and in teaching techniques.
• Ability to use basic computer software and hardware.
• Ability to make critical decisions regarding clients based on input from multiple sources.

Education and Experience: The position requires state licensure that authorizes the independent practice of psychotherapy, LCSW, LMFT, LPC or LP (PhD/PsyD). The position requires a Masters or Doctorate in a related, qualifying area of study from a regionally accredited university. Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience providing services to a primary SUD population; excludes psychiatric with dual-diagnosis.
